Join Our Team as a Residential Plant Health Care Technician!

Blue Ribbon Outdoor is seeking a trained professional with a minimum of 1 year experience in Turf Management and a valid Arkansas Class 4 Pesticide license. The individual we are looking for needs to be self-motivated, hardworking & be able to handle outdoor working conditions. Previous experience using ZSpray equipment is a plus. Some of the key responsibilities of a Residential Plant Health Care Technician include:

  1. Operations:

    • Perform various tasks associated with all lawn care applications such as fertilization, weed control, disease diagnosis.

    • Ensure that tasks are completed according to quality and safety standards.

    • Operate and maintain various lawn care equipment, such as backpack sprayers, Zsprayers, and blowers.

    • Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and performing routine maintenance.

  2. Client Interaction:

    • Communicate with clients in a professional and courteous manner.

    • Address client concerns, questions, and requests promptly and effectively.

  3. Safety and Compliance:

    • Uphold safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.

    • Maintain safe equipment operation and proper handling of chemicals.

    • Ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is used consistently.

  4. Schedule Management:

    • Work Independently, with good time management

    • Monitor progress throughout the day and make necessary adjustments to ensure timely completion of tasks.

    • Coordinate with the supervisor to allocate resources effectively.

  5. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used and documenting weather conditions as applicable to tasks.

    • Provide reports on performance, accomplishments, and challenges to the supervisor.

  6. Equipment Maintenance:

    • Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and serviced regularly.

    • Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the appropriate department.


Qualifications:

  • Assist other team members as needed

  • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner

  • May be required to drive a vehicle for business purposes occasionally

  • Maintain valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company policy

  • Regular attendance and punctuality are essential for employee job performance

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or carry/move up to 50lbs

  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time

  • Must be able to perform repetitive motion of hands, wrists, and arms

  • Must be able to complete job duties proficiently while adapting to changing demands and priorities
